Dr. Faerber has maintained AAAHC (Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care) surgery center accreditation since 1993 and was the first MD, DDS Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to do so in Kansas. Maintaining AAAHC accreditation requires adherence to national standards for outpatient ambulatory surgery centers. This involves adherence to national standards in anesthesia care and safety, sterilization, medical record security quality improvement studies, outside peer review, emergency procedures, emergency drills, and many other categories. Maintaining accreditation requires outside the organization peer review and site accreditation examination by physician site surveyors. We will always strive to evaluate areas that we can improve as an organization and a surgery center while adhering to AAAHC procedures.
